Have you ever thought that you could save someone's life?
Right now more than 9,000 people in the UK are in desperate need of an organ transplant. Around 400 of them will die this year and many more will lose their lives before they are registered for a transplant.
But you can help. Think about whether you want to give the gift of life and help someone live after your death. And if you do, join the NHS Organ Donor Register. You can find out more and register by visiting www.uktransplant.org.uk/register or calling the Organ Donor Line on 0845 60 60 400. It takes just a few minutes of your time.
Even if you carry a donor card you should join the register to make sure your wishes are recorded. The more people who join the register, the more lives could be saved.
Remember - tell someone about it
It's really important to discuss your decision with those closest to you so they know your wishes should the time ever come.
Give hope to the thousands of people waiting for a transplant. Sign up now. Then please send this email on to your family and friends.
Thank you.
